One of the happiest moments for K-pop fans occurs when their favorite idol is discharged from the army. This is because this action means that artists will be able to return to the stage and resume their schedules with the release of new singles and albums, in addition to the always loved presentations and of course: the shows.

It is worth remembering that, in South Korea, military enlistment is mandatory for men between 18 and 28 years old. Therefore, when they reach the maximum age for deferment, everyone (including idols) must fulfill their duties in the Armed Forces, acting as active or inactive soldiers for an average period of 18 to 21 months.
