See which K-pop artists made it to Billboard’s list of the 100 best songs released in 2023
Last Thursday, the 7th, Billboard shared its long-awaited list of the 100 best songs released in 2023, chosen by the magazine’s team. With the presence of major global stars, k-pop was also present with three artists: FIFTY FIFTY, NewJeans It is Jungkook.
The BTS maknae appeared on the list in 55th place, thanks to his solo debut single “Seven”, which features a special appearance from the rapper Latto. In the publication, the journalist Katie Atkinson stated that the song manages to win over “even the most resistant pop fan by the end, thanks to its UK garage-influenced beat, adults-only chorus and raucous guest verses from a Latto lewd.”

Finally, the K-pop song that reached the highest position was “Super Shy”, by NewJeans”, which occupied 38th place. For Unterbergerthe track “was a level above, a song that integrated cutting-edge production elements from around the world for a song of unrequited passion, with songwriting and performance strong enough to work almost as well when unplugged.”.
