4.5 kg ball to place in the center of the table. IKEA / Press photo
To celebrate Christmas in an original way, the Swedish giant offers our British cousins a 4.5 kg meatball.
IKEA has been known for years for its furniture, its prices, and… its meatballs. Once the credit cards are warmed up with a taste of reward, they turn into XXL size for the end of the year celebrations. To replace traditional main dishes such as poultry or roast, the furniture giant is offering “turkey-sized” meat weighing 4.5 kg, the press release details.
Available in limited quantities and only from our British neighbours, as tradition dictates, traditional köttbullar will be enhanced with a cream sauce and lingonberry jam, prized for its delicacy. To get it this New Year’s Eve and focus on originality, just enter the competition organized by IKEA in stores and on social networks. For vegetarians, the Swedish group also offers a Christmas tree made of vegetable balls. So, team meatball.
