The famous romantic comedy director went back to his acting choices for the film released only twenty years ago.
It has become the ultimate Christmas comedy. Love Actually is celebrating its 20th anniversary. On this occasion, director Richard Curtis returned to the origins of the film with revelations that surprised more than one. This is how he explained to the media LADbible: this Nov. 27, that if he had to do it over again, he wouldn’t choose Keira Knightley if he had to make the movie today. He elaborates that the English actress was 18 years old at the time, but played the role of a more mature woman in love with older men.
And to back up her regret about the character of Juliet, played by Keira Knightley; “I’m really interested to know if today I’m going to say to myself, ‘Don’t do it,'” he explained. “And really, we probably wouldn’t take someone that young today.” A choice that, given our current software, seems incompatible.
