5 Disney sequels that almost no one remembers

Some sequels to Disney classics are often forgotten because they were not released in cinemas; Discover some of them!

Some Disney classics were so successful that they ended up receiving their own sequels. Most of these productions were not released in theaters, but on DVD or VHS, in addition to some also being shown on Disney Channel.

Because of this, they did not become as popular as the originals, which means they are often forgotten. Therefore, Recreio brought some sequences that practically no one remembers.

The favorite princess Walt Disney received a sequel in 2002. The film, titled “Cinderella II: Dreams Come True”, was released for home video. The production is not a single story: we see several small plots that happen to Cinderella, and the people who are around her around. But almost all of them have one thing in common: showing how the protagonist is adapting to life as royalty.

2. Peter Pan: Back to Neverland

A sequel that was planned to be released on home video but ended up going to theaters was “Peter Pan: Return to Neverland.” The plot shows that, to try to attract Peter Pan, Captain Hook tries to kidnap Wendy. What the villain, however, didn’t count on is that the girl has already become an adult woman, so he ends up kidnapping her daughter, Jane, who doesn’t believe in magic.

3. Mulan 2: The Legend Continues

In “Mulan 2: The Legend Continues”, we see Mulan and General Lee Shang, her fiancé, being recruited by the Emperor of China for a specific mission: escorting the three princesses to their future fiancés.

The film, which was released in 2004 directly to video, shows the conflicts between the couple and how love can overcome everything. Plus, some of the iconic characters from the original are back.

4. The Lion King 2: Simba’s Kingdom

In 1998, “The Lion King 2 — Simba’s Kingdom” was released on VHS. The film shows a little about how Simba is taking care of the Pride Lands, but has a greater focus on the relationship between Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala, with Kovu, a lion exiled from the kingdom.

Many don’t know, but the original film is based on “Hamlet”, a text by William Shakespeare. The sequence could not be different: the new story in the African savannah is inspired by another classic story by the famous English writer, “Romeo and Juliet”.

5. The Enchanted Christmas with Beauty and the Beast

The sequel to “Beauty and the Beast” is not really a continuation of the story. The plot of the film “The Enchanted Christmas with Beauty and the Beast” takes place neither before nor after the original animation, but rather during it.

Although it doesn’t seem like it, in the original, Belle remains a prisoner of the Beast for a long time. And, during this period in which they get to know each other better, the duo ends up spending Christmas together. It is during this festive moment that the film takes place. The production was released straight to VHS.
