I knew him because I had seen his films and we had mutual friends,” he explained. She, whom he married just a year after meeting him, is also an actress who appears in the film Une femme in 2010. Willem Dafoe explains about their union like this: “Getting married was very impulsive and romantic. We were having lunch and I said: “Do you want to get married tomorrow?” I called the municipality, they said. “If you get here in the next few hours, you can register and get married tomorrow.” So we ran there.” Before that, the actor was in a relationship with director Elizabeth LeCompte from 1977 to 2004.
