Filming for the second season of the Wednesday series has moved from Romania to Ireland and will begin in April 2024. Deadline reported.
The first season of the series, starring Jenna Ortega, was filmed in Romania from September 2021 to March 2022. After the series broke many streaming series records, including the most hours watched, the filming location became a main attraction, which gives Romania a boost in tourism.
The first season of the cult series told the story of Wednesday Addams, who entered the Nevermore Academy. According to the official description of the first season, the girl “seeks to master her new psychic abilities, prevent a horrific murder that terrorizes her local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that engulfs the his parents 25 years ago.”
As for the second season, new members of the Addams family may appear here. It is also known that the producers plan to put more emphasis on horror in the storyline.
The script is currently being written, so nothing is known about the cast yet. Rumors are spreading that there will be more roles in the series.
