This Friday, 20th, Hyungwon, from MONSTA X, announced that he will enlist in the South Korean military. The star revealed that he will begin fulfilling his mandatory enlistment on November 14th. The news came through a sincere, handwritten letter, which was published in the boy group’s fan cafe. Check the message:
MONBEBE, hi!
Of all the messages I’ve written so far, this one has the most peculiar feeling… I will enlist on November 14th. Maybe it’s because I’ve been mentally preparing myself while watching members go through their own enlistments, but instead of regretting it, I feel a sense of relief. I think I’m more worried about MONBEBE than myself.
Although I am the only one MONBEBE worries about every time the wind blows, my goal is to return as a strong and reliable person who can face the strong wind that comes from MONBEBE’s way.
Over the time we spent together, MONBEBE has nurtured me so much that I have now become someone who can handle this temporary separation in a healthy and confident way, so I really want to thank you for that. Thank you so much, and I love you all.

please note that Hyungwon will be the fifth member of MONSTA X to join the military. Currently, three members are fulfilling their enlistments: Minhyuk, Joohoney It is Kihyun. Already Shownuwas discharged from the army earlier this year.
