The Meta boss posted a video on Instagram this Wednesday, October 18, showing him styling his daughter’s hair with his new glasses. New gadget or revolution?
He does not move. Mark Zuckerberg is a fan of the artificial intelligence he’s designed for the Meta, and even more so for his “smart glasses,” created in collaboration with Ray Ban and available from Wednesday, October 18. The same day, the creator of Facebook posted a video on Instagram, where it can be seen how he does his daughter’s hair with the help of the voice assistant of his connected glasses. A revolution?
Glasses that help with… styling
In his video, Mark Zuckerberg sets the tone. “Learn new skills every day” here, knitting for her 8-year-old daughter Maxima, the eldest of her two children. In the latter’s room, we first hear how he asks a question. “Hi Meta, how do you braid? “, then have the AI follow her step by step in a monotone voice (“brush the hair to remove knots, divide the hair into three parts”…) through speakers placed at ear level. The glasses also let you capture the action in real time, and he can be heard asking his daughter how she’s feeling (reply: “Fine”). Although she admits she’s “not the most experienced knitter,” she believes she’s “successful.” No less proud, the head of Facebook captioned his publication succinctly. “Finally learned to knit, thanks Meta!”
At the end of the video, we see Maxima handing him an elastic band to finish his work. Mark Zuckerberg finally asks his glasses to take a photo of the gorgeous hairstyle and send it to his wife, Priscilla. One question remains: was this gesture so complex, so complex, that it required the help of connected glasses? Parents may still have time before they are beaten by AI.
