Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour made history by becoming the highest-grossing concert film of all time, grossing $100 million in advance ticket sales worldwide. This was reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
This advance ticket sales figure was achieved a week before the film opened in most of the confirmed 8,500 theaters in 100 countries worldwide on Friday, October 13.
According to AMC, which is distributing the concert film on behalf of the pop superstar, audience demand has been “incredible” across the United States, “from the biggest cities to the smallest towns.”
That’s why Eras Tour is expected to easily become the highest-grossing concert film of all time in its opening weekend alone. It also boasts one of the biggest discoveries of the year, despite its length of two hours and 48 minutes.
