He is considered one of the representatives of postmodernism in Norwegian literature.
The Nobel Committee announced the winner of the prize for literature on October 5. It was the Norwegian writer Jon Fosse. He was honored “for his innovative plays and prose that express the inexpressible.” This was reported by the press service of the Nobel Foundation.
Osse was born on September 29, 1959 in Geugesund. He made his debut as a writer in 1983 with the novel “Red, Black.”
He currently writes novels, short stories, poems, children’s books and essays and plays.
In addition, his works have been translated into more than forty languages.
The writer is a minimalist; many identical lines are often repeated in his works, and the vocabulary of each work is relatively modest.
Let’s remember that the Nobel Prize in Physics has been awarded before.
