There are only two months left until 2023 comes to an end, but the year has already been able to present us with countless incredible K-pop songs. However, in addition to the new tracks, many songs considered classics have completed 10 years of release — even though it seems like yesterday that we heard these anthems for the first time.
With that in mind, RECREIO separated some k-pop tracks that celebrated a decade of release in 2023. Check it out!
1. Growl — EXO
“Growl” by EXO, has become so popular in Korea that it is often known as the “Song of the Nation”. It is part of the group’s first repackage album, titled “XOXO”, and features the 12 original members of the lineup.
2. Crooked — G-Dragon
Known as the “King of K-pop”, to this day, the track “Crooked” by G-Dragon, leader of BIGBANG, remains one of the most popular tracks in Korean pop music. Despite being 10 years old in 2023, the song is still extremely remembered by both fans and other artists in the industry.
3. Everybody — SHINee
In 2013, SHINee released their fifth mini-album “Everybody”, accompanied by the title track of the same name. Despite having divided opinions, the track has a strong electronic footprint, in addition to presenting an impressive choreography performed by Onew, Jonghyun, Key, Minho It is Taemin.
4. I Got a Boy — Girls’ Generation
AYO GG! Exactly 10 years ago, on New Year’s Eve, Girls’ Generation released what would be one of their biggest hits: the hit “I Got a Boy”. Experimental music moves through different rhythms — something that has become common in today’s K-pop.
5. Hush — miss A
“Hush”, by miss A, is one of the songs most remembered by fans when we talk about more mature concepts. The track is the title track of the full-album of the same name, and its video has more than 68 million views, even 10 years after its release.

In 2023, BTS is celebrating its tenth debut anniversary. The group debuted on June 13th, with the track “No More Dream”, the title track from the album “2 Cool 4 Skool”.
