‘Mrs. Marvel’, the new Disney+ series, debuts on the streaming platform next Wednesday, 8
“Ms. Marvel”, new series from Disney+ which premieres next Wednesday, 8, will tell the story of Kamala Khan, a 16-year-old Muslim girl who is a fan of superheroes – especially Captain Marvel -, and ends up receiving powers just like her biggest idols.
However, like countless productions in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, to understand everything that goes on in the new series, it is necessary to watch other works of the MCU that connect directly with the current story. If you also want to stay on top of everything, know which are the movies and series you need to check out before the release of “Ms. Marvel”!
1. Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Endgame (2019) | Available on Disney+

“Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame” are two necessary productions for the vast majority of new Marvel productions thanks to the great battle against Thanos. Movies become important to Ms. Marvel for introducing Captain Marvel’s importance during the war, as well as explaining what Carol Danvers was up to before her solo film.
2. Captain Marvel (2019) | Available on Disney+

Captain Marvel is the great inspiration in Kamala Khan’s life and, therefore, knowing a little more about her history and understanding how Carol Danvers became a hero is extremely important for the series.
3. WandaVision (2021) | Available on Disney+

In WandaVision, we meet Monica Rambeau, daughter of Maria Rambeau, Captain Marvel’s best friend. Kamala, Carol and Monica will hold their long-awaited meeting in the upcoming movie “The Marvels”, and will have their stories directly linked.
4. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021) | Available on Disney+

At the end of Shang-Chi, we have the opportunity to check out Carol Danvers in contact with other great heroes of the MCU. The scene itself can serve as a small introduction to what we can expect from Marvel’s upcoming productions.
