In recent weeks, there have actually been a lot of videos posted on social media that share a common point of audacity. The idea is to film yourself dancing on the subway, right in the middle of other passengers. First popular on the London Underground, the trend has recently made its way to Paris, where we’re seeing this type of video flourish. A sign that the phenomenon is not temporary, there are more than 15 million views on the hashtag #metrodanse, where people from all over the world are having fun dancing in subway cars.
The subway as a dance floor
It all started with 22-year-old young Londoner Sabrina Bahsoun, who decided to start filming herself on the subway and sketching some dance steps to get rid of boredom.
