One of the theories involving the characters of ‘The Lion King’ was confirmed in the first edition of one of the studio’s comics, find out!
The plot of “The Lion King” unfolds from a fateful event. This is because the scene in which Scar lures his brother Mufasa and nephew Simba into an ambush in an attempt to become the sole heir to the throne, becomes the turning point of the story, as well as being one of the saddest scenes. of cinema, since it is on this occasion that Simba’s father ends up passing away.
Even so, in the animation released in 1994 by DisneySimba’s ambitious and evil uncle is not alone, he has two henchmen, the hyenas Shenzi and Banzai, who were banished from the kingdom, and from then on, they live in the elephant cemetery, where, not only the light it is not enough, as there is no presence of other animals.
In this way, fans of the production began to theorize how hyenas could survive in that place, since there were no life forms other than theirs there. In this reflection, one of the darkest ideas related to history emerged: they fed on animals of their own species!
The theory circulated for some time, until it was confirmed in the comic book “Disney Villains: Scar #1”, as published by the portal Dito Cinema. Released in April this year, the comic, which shows the villain’s point of view, follows Scar after Simba’s birth, where he plans to kill the king.
He gains a new perspective on this goal after encountering two vultures. This is because the pair of animals suggest that Scar create an army to remove his brother from the throne, and finally, be able to reign over the entire jungle, which makes him go after the hyenas.
There, he meets the Queen of the None Eaters, more precisely, at the moment when Shenzi is sent to be sacrificed, and is attacked by other hyenas. In this terrifying situation, the queen reveals to Scar that Shenzi “ate her fill at banquets like these. Now it’s your turn to be the banquet”, — a line that confirms the macabre fan theory.
