Theatrical play inspired by ‘Stranger Things’ reveals cast and premiere date

The play will be a prelude to the events of the Stranger Things episodes on Netflix

“The First Shadow”, the new play based on the series “Stranger Things”, released last Wednesday, the 20th, the first images of its complete cast, in addition to its expected premiere date: December 14th, at the Phoenix Theater , in London’s West End. Check out the images!

The production will be a prequel to the hit Netflix series, and has the following synopsis: “Hawkins, 1959, a normal town with regular worries. Young Jim Hopper’s car won’t start, Bob Newby’s sister won’t take his show. radio seriously and Joyce Maldonado just wants to graduate and get the hell out of town. When new student Henry Creel arrives, her family discovers that a new beginning isn’t so easy… and the shadows of the past are very far-reaching.”

Furthermore, as reported by the Omelete portal, the play is expected to indicate the direction of the future of the title, as we can see written in the publication: “Stranger Things on stage will take you to the beginning of the story of Stranger Things — and may hold the key of what comes next.”

The show will feature Oscar Lloyd bringing Jim Hopper to life, Louis McCartney like Henry Creel, Christopher Buckley bringing Bob Newby to life and Isabella Pappas playing Joyce Maldonado.

Meanwhile, there is still not much information about the fifth and final season of “Stranger Things”. With no premiere date yet, what is known so far is that, as revealed by the series’ producer and director, Shawn Levythe new episodes will be “a great cinematic narrative”.

“It’s a great cinematic narrative that happens to be called a TV series. Stranger Things 5 ​​is as big as any of the biggest movies we see,” Levy said in an interview with Total Film (via Omelete).
