However, last Wednesday, the 20th, via social media, the group spoke out stating that the quintet’s participation in the event has not been confirmed. In the publication, the group said:
“We hereby inform our fans that none of the members of RBD, or their work team, confirmed their participation in the event on December 19th at the Senate of the Republic.
Likewise, the band disclaims any relationship with the aforementioned event or organizers.”
After the band’s statement, there is no new information as to whether the event will still take place. Currently, RBD is on its reunion tour, “Soy Rebelde Tour”, which is scheduled to visit Brazil on the 10th and 11th in Rio de Janeiro, and the 12th, 13th, 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th in São Paulo.
