What can we expect from the second season of the live-action film?

One Piece fans already have some ideas about what could appear in a possible second season of the live-action series.

Netflix listened to the requests of One Piece fans and announced this Thursday, the 14th, that the live-action series, based on the mangas of Eiichiro Oda, will have a second season. Check out the ad!

It is worth remembering that the series’ producers have already revealed that the script for the second season is ready. They also said that there is a desire to produce 12 seasons, to adapt up to half of the manga’s story, but that the plan is for at least 6 waves of episodes.

However, even before Netflix’s official announcement about the new season, fans were already speculating what may or may not happen in the new episodes. Therefore, RECREIO brought some of the points that may be present in the second season. Check out!

History

The first season of “One Piece: The Series” adapted all the events of the East Blue saga, which shows the beginning of Monkey D. Luffy’s adventure and the formation of the Straw Hats gang. The eight episodes of the series are equivalent to the first 100 chapters of the manga and 61 episodes of the anime. It is worth remembering that some arcs and events from the original work were left out.

Following the logic of the manga, the next season should adapt the Alabasta saga, in which Luffy and his crew have just entered the Grand Line and encounter new challenges and adversaries. The next episodes will correspond to chapters 101 to 217 of the manga and episodes 62 to 130 of the anime.

The new episodes should show the entry of new members into the Straw Hat gang and further development of Baroque Works, an organization that was already mentioned in the first season of the live-action.

The arcs that may appear in the possible new season are:

  • Reverse Mountain
  • Peaky Whiskey
  • Little Garden
  • Drum Island
  • Alabasta

New characters

The second season of the live-action should introduce new characters, which for fans of the One Piece manga and anime, can be considered iconic. Find out what they are:

  • Laboon
  • Vivi Nefertari
  • Dr. Kureha
  • Tony Tony Chopper
  • Mr. 2/Bon Clay
