After much waiting, Sulli’s film production company reveals plans to launch the production
This Wednesday, 6, Mystic Story confirmed that the movie “Persona: Sulli” will be released later this year. The production features the last interview of Sulliby f(x), held in 2019, the same year the idol died at the age of 25.
The feature is part of the “Persona” franchise, which emerged in 2019 and is a four-part film series with four different directors. The first season of the series focused on the soloist IU and the second would have Sulli as the main one, with a total of five episodes. However, the idol died during the production process.
After the death of Sulli, many fans wondered what would be done with the material already recorded and the producer had not given a concrete answer until today. That’s because Mystic Story revealed that the production will be divided into two parts: it will have a short film and a feature film.
The short, titled “4: Clean Island”, stars Sulli and it shows the story of the character called 4, whose dream is to immigrate to the cleanest place in the world, known as Clean Island. While trying to make her dream come true, the character shares the story of a special pig that stays at a strange immigration checkpoint, where people need to confess their sins in order to continue their journey.
The feature, titled “Dear Jinri” actually has the last interview of Sulli and reveals the artist’s various concerns and thoughts. This production will make its world premiere at the 28th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), which will take place between October 4th and 13th in Busan, South Korean city.
