This Friday, the 25th, the columnist, Gabriel Perline, from IG, revealed that SBT changed the date of Telethon 2023 so that RBD can perform on the program. According to sources heard by Perlineconversations between the network and the group’s agents would have been going on since the first half of the year, from the moment the group announced their concerts in Brazil.
At first, Teleton, a show broadcast by SBT with the aim of raising funds for the AACD (Association for Assistance to Disabled Children), would take place on October 20th and 21st. Now, the event will take place on the 10th and 11th of November and the channel’s justification was that the change was due to the sertanejo singer’s schedule Danielwho is sponsor of the program.
However, according to the columnist, the singer has no event scheduled for the 20th of October, which would be contradictory with the statement from SBT. But if we analyze it, the new days coincide with the dates when RBD will be on Brazilian soil with their “Soy Rebelde Tour”.
With this date change, it would be possible for the Mexican group to perform at Teleton, since on the 10th, RBD will perform in Rio de Janeiro and on the 11th they will be off, which would be perfect for them to participate in the SBT show.
Even with all the indications, the presence of RBD in the Telethon is not a certainty. Perline he also points out that SBT really wants the quintet to be present and that gossip about the matter is already circulating through the channel’s corridors.
It is worth remembering that SBT was the main Brazilian channel to show the telenovela Rebelde, which was responsible for launching RBD. Currently, the station founded by Silvio Santos the replay of the Mexican telenovela is playing during his afternoons.
