Disney is one of the biggest entertainment companies in the world and this is due to its productions, products and even theme parks around the world. Because of this popularity, many stories have emerged around the company created by walt disney.
But some of these stories are not true, as much as many people believe! Therefore, RECREIO brought some myths about Disney that have already been debunked. Check out!
1. Collapsible castle
The biggest symbol of Disney parks is the castle of some princess. In the case of the Walt Disney World Resort, located in Orlando, USA, the building is based on Cinderella, Walt Disney’s favorite princess. It is located in the Magic Kingdom, one of the studio’s four parks.
According to the Screenrant portal, there is a rumor that the castle is fully collapsible, so that it will not be destroyed in the event of tropical disasters. It is worth remembering that Orlando is a city in the state of Florida, where many hurricanes happen because of its climate.
Even though the structure and decoration of the castle is hurricane-proof, the construction is not collapsible, which becomes yet another rumor propagated by park visitors.
2. Refrigerator Fantasies

One of the most fascinating things about Disney parks is being able to meet your favorite character from the studio and get your picture taken with him. But what is a joy for the visitors can be a little difficult for the employees. Can you imagine spending hours in a Stitch or Mickey costume?
Because of this, rumors arose that Disney costumes would be self-refreshing, that is, it would have its own system to refresh the employee inside. But, unfortunately for these workers, this is just a myth, but Disney could think of this technology, right?
3. Real Skeletons

This myth is almost real, because a part of it is true. One of the most famous stories regarding Disney parks attractions is about the presence of real skeletons in the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction toy.
The point is that not all the skeletons present in the attraction are real, but right at its opening it did have some human bones. In fact, the skull that can be seen on the captain’s pensioners is real and was donated to the park by a medical laboratory, the year it was opened at Disneyland.
4. The Phantom George
Even the most magical place in the world can be a bit spooky. That’s because, according to ScreenRant, there is a pirate who lives in the Magic Kingdom, more specifically in the Pirates of the Caribbean toy.
George is the name of the ghost and he was a former employee of the park who ended up passing away while working on the attraction. And because of that, he keeps inhabiting that space. Even though they have no record of George’s existence, while he was still alive, employees prefer not to risk it and always greet the ghost when opening and closing the ride.
5. Frozen Walt Disney

The most famous story involving Disney is that its creator, walt disney, would be frozen. This theory became popular since Mickey Mouse’s father had already shown an interest in cryogenic freezing. Thus, many fans pointed out that he would have been frozen, to be thawed out in the future and come back to life.
And there’s more: many claim that this frozen body would be on the lower floors of Disney parks. But all this is just rumours! The filmmaker who changed the history of cinema with the first color animated film had his body cremated two days after his death.
