Disney Channel series and movies are responsible for marking the childhood of many children around the world. However, something that not everyone knows is that many of these productions had scenes that ended up never airing – or even names changed at the last minute.
Thinking about it, RECREIO separated 5 curiosities about classic Disney Channel productions that you need to know!
1. High School Musical
During an interview with Seventeen magazine in 2017, bart johnson, the Bolton coach of ‘High School Musical’, revealed that, initially, he would have a music scene with Ms. Darbus in the first film. The idea, however, never left the plans as it would have exceeded the production time of the feature.
2. Wizards of Waverly Place

Also in 2017, series creator, Todd J. Greenwald, revealed that, in the pilot episode that never aired, there were two characters that ended up being discarded from the series. One of them would be Justin’s best friend, played by Brandon Mychal Smith (Sunny between stars). The other would be a character called Rachel, played by Chelsea Kane(JONAS).
3. Lizzie McGuire

According to actor Jake Thomas, responsible for playing Hilary’s younger brother Matt, the title of the series wasn’t always ‘Lizzie McGuire’. According to the star, the original name should have been “What’s Lizzie Thinking?” (What Lizzie is Thinking, in free translation).
4. Zack & Cody: Twins in Action

Still in an interview with Seventeen, actor Adrian R’Mante revealed that star George Lopez, almost, did not play his character’s father, Steban, in the series. “George Lopez was very close to playing my father, but something happened at the last minute and he backed out, so they made Charo my mother in the wedding episode. [de] Twins in Action”.
5. Hannah Montana

In 2008, during the episode in which Miley and Lily discover that Oliver has diabetes, one of the scenes ended up being cut due to problems with parents from the Children With Diabetes group. That’s because, in the sequel, the character Traci ends up being doused in chocolate, while the girls try to keep their friend away from sugar.
