With the end of Stranger Things approaching, the series actor revealed that he would not like to be marked by his character
The upcoming season of Stranger Things will be the series’ fifth and final series. Because of this, many cast members are already looking for new projects, and one of them is david harborwho plays Jim Hooper.
In an interview with Insider (via Omelette), the actor revealed that he doesn’t want to be typecast as the chief of police in the Netflix series. He said:
In the first year of Stranger Things, I remember having a conversation with a publicist and she said, ‘Maybe you don’t want to be so associated with the show’ and I was like, ‘Why? I love the series. I love the character’. I really love the series. And I really love the character. But I don’t want to be just that character. I don’t want to be just that guy.”
To prove your point, harbor gave an example of what happened to George Clooney. He explained:
I think about when George Clooney left ER. Now, we only see him as Clooney. But there was a time when he was ‘the guy from ER doing movies with Nicole Kidman’. I think about it a lot. I’m in a strange position, something I never thought I would be in.”

There is still not much information about the 5th season of Stranger Things and when the new episodes will arrive in the Netflix catalogue. However, fans speculate that the first events of the series should connect with the end of production, which would result in Will, character of Noah Schnapphighlighted again.
It is already known that the actress Linda Hamilton (The Terminator) will be part of the cast and its entry was announced during TUDUM, the worldwide event for Netflix fans, which took place in person in São Paulo, in June.
