Disney has become one of the biggest studios when it comes to animation and all this is mainly due to the work of walt disney, the main founder of the company. The filmmaker created iconic characters and films, which are remembered to this day and many of them made history, such as “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”, which was the first animated and colorful feature film in cinema.
In all the movies that disney worked directly, he left a personal touch, since he participated in a good part of the animation production, as he was not only directing or being the producer of the film.
Because of this, RECREIO gathered some of the animations in which walt disney was involved in the production. Check out!
1. Fantasy
“Fantasia” is one of Disney’s most remarkable films and one of the main ones in the career of the walt disney. Although it is a little obvious that the filmmaker would be involved in the feature that features Sorcerer Mickey, many people think that he was just the producer of the feature.
In fact, he was one of the creative minds behind the production’s plot and who came up with the idea of having an orchestra in the film. He also introduced the sound capabilities that theaters needed to make “Fantasia” an amazing experience.
2. 101 Dalmatians

If it weren’t for walt disney, it is likely that “101 Dalmatians” did not even exist. That’s because, he was the one who contacted the author Dodie Smith, in order to produce an animation based on the book of the same name. The two became friends through correspondence, which ended up producing the feature about the painted dogs. In addition to presenting the idea, disney was also a producer of the film.
3. Aristocats

“Aristogatas” was released in 1970, four years after the death of walt disney. However, the film was conceived by the filmmaker in 1962, according to the ScreenHant portal. Because of this, the film is considered one of the last produced with the involvement of disney.
The animation about the cat family is from the time when the studio started to face some obstacles in its productions. Therefore, the animators still relied heavily on the ideas left by disneywhich is what happened with “Aristocats” and “Robin Hood”.
4. The Sword Was the Law

“The Sword in the Stone” premiered in theaters in 1963, and had touches of walt disney from beginning to end. It is because of him that we have a more animated version of Merlin the Magician, who until then was often portrayed as grumpy.
A curious fact is that Bill Peetthe animator responsible for the film, was inspired by disney to create the character. Most fans of the studio assume that Merlin’s nose is one of the main similarities between the filmmaker and the sorcerer.
5. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

“The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh” is another film released after the death of disney, but which still counts on his participation. The animation was released in 1977, eleven years after the death of the filmmaker, however, when he was alive, he personally supervised each segment of the production, when it was not yet a combination of shorts, that is, he evaluated the story as individual shorts.
EXTRA – “Walt Disney’s Mickey Mouse – Travel Time”
The last film actually walt disney participated in the production was the Mickey Mouse short, entitled “Hora de Viajar”. The production was launched in 2013 and mixes traditional animation, in black and white, with computer animation. The short paid homage to the studio’s origins and also introduced a new generation to the classic cartoons of disney.
But how did the founder of Mickey’s house participate in this production? Animated files were used, where the creators of the short could use the voice of waltz one last time as Mickey, as he has voiced the world’s most famous mouse for years. Even though he did not directly participate in the creation of the short film, it served as a beautiful tribute to the company’s founder.
