Karma therapy, a concept of Hinduism and Buddhism that has been a resounding success in the United States

Coming from across the Atlantic, the concept suggests exploring our past lives to free ourselves from repetitive blockages. Are we really ready to believe that?

“It’s my karma.” Who has not uttered this sentence lightly one day. It’s like saying it’s my destiny… However, not everyone is amused by it. In 2023, karma is no longer inevitable. A core concept of Hinduism and Buddhism, drawn from energetic subjects, it was created as a tool of transformation and even as a compass to get the best out of existence. “Karma in Sanskrit literally means action, but it also means an action that has consequences,” notes Frederic Petorin, medium and karma therapist. Everything is karma. What we do, feel and think leaves traces that are passed on from life to life. Positively, these balances will manifest in qualities, talents or favorable circumstances. Negatively, they will feed stressful emotions and behavioral patterns, food compulsions, toxic relationships, all kinds of galas. Karma therapy works on these knots that attach to the soul and travel with it through its many incarnations beyond the illusory boundaries of time and space.

The ways of the spirits

Explanation: After death, the various bodies that served our evolution will be recycled. “The physical body remains on Earth and turns to dust again; fragments of other bodies, those subtle ones, are stored in protected planes,” suggests Marie-Lise Labonte in the book.Karma: Explore it, break free and be reborn (The Lotus and the Elephant). According to the psychotherapist and creator of the chest release method, when the soul reincarnates, it slips into a kind of energy mantle that houses known karmic memories. Actions that caused people to suffer, lessons not learned, repeated mistreatment… We will therefore carry our karma in our vibrational field (or aura). “As soon as we are confronted with an emotion that resonates with a fact that marked our past life, a reactivation of memories occurs,” comments psychic Claire Thomas in the book.New Karma, New Self (Leduc Eso).

However, we do not manifest all our karma in one lifetime. “Prior to return, the soul selects the topics it wishes to progress on and forms a life plan accordingly. The DNA of the parents, the era, the social context are determined to create a physical body and a personality that is capable of creating a certain scenario,” responds Frederic Petorin. At birth, our memory is erased so that we can fully embody this image and do the necessary conscious work. “For example, if in another life I was an alcoholic, I can decide to come and solve the problem of alcoholism in a family where one of my parents will be an alcoholic. The mirror effect will allow me to understand what this addiction really entails,” imagines the karmaterapist.

Match what’s important to you

Each with their own techniques and gifts, hypnotherapists, energy psychologists, and other psychotherapists help clear our “karmic web” and assimilate these life lessons. Some feel their patient’s vibrational loads with their hands. Others see them. “I resonate with subtle bodies to access blockages. The lights inform me about what a person can be in another life,” says Frederic Petorin. “Then I can deprogram the trauma and anything that is preventing our energies from working well.”

Working on our karmic legacy makes all the difference, according to Karine Mikard, karmatherapist and podcaster. “it allows us to no longer strive to succeed in life, but to succeed in our own lives.” This guided energy work, along with regular meditations, gradually sharpens the connection with our soul, aligning us with what is truly important to us. We cultivate fairer, gentler, truer relationships with ourselves and others. Difficulties become opportunities to grow. Here and now!
