Important in the adventures of Andy and Bonnie’s toys, these characters should be brought back in ‘Toy Story 5’
The ‘Toy Story’ franchise brought to the big screen several iconic characters, such as Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie, Bullet in the Target, Rex, Mister Potato Head and many others, who are no longer just part of Andy and Bonnie’s toy collection in the movies and became part of the games of many children around the globe.
Even so, the plot features dozens of dolls throughout its four titles, and some of them ended up disappearing in the sequences that emerged. But, with the return of Betty in the fourth film, it is possible that others will also return for new adventures, probably in the fifth feature film already confirmed.
With that in mind, RECREIO has put together a list of 5 characters that should be brought back in ‘Toy Story 5’. Find it out:
1. Chuckles the Clown
Introduced in the third film in the franchise, Chuckles is the clown toy who lived with Lotso the baby and the pink bear, before they were accidentally left behind by their owner (an event that turned Lotso into a tyrannical villain at Sunnyside daycare). The character, who has become a grumpy but kind-hearted clown, is adopted by Boonie and helps Woody understand Lotso’s past so the cowboy can save his friends.
Although he was paramount in ‘Toy Story 3’, in the fourth film of the franchise, he does not appear with the other toys in the little girl’s room, which raises the following question: what happened to Chukles? The question can be answered in the fifth animation.
2. Zurg

Introduced in ‘Toy Story 2’, Zurg reveals himself to be the father of Buzz Lightyear, in a satire of the Star Wars franchise, where Darth Vader reveals himself to be the father of Luke Skywalker. The information ends up being changed in ‘Lightyear’, where the villain is, in fact, the future version of Buzz.
Zurg’s origins were confused, and for that reason, in the fifth film of the franchise, the villain could reappear, in an attempt to connect the two narratives that had become so different.
3. Remote Control Car

The Remote Control Car is essential in the first title of the movie of the puppets that come to life, since it is he who helps Woody and Buzz to get rid of Sid and his brutal dog Scud and reach Andy’s moving truck.
However, the character does not return in the other sequels. Could it be that after Buzz drops the remote on the road he can’t move anymore? Did he get a new home? None of the questions have been answered so far.
4. Wheezy

Wheezy is the penguin found by Woody on the shelf of broken toys, but who at the end of ‘Toy Story 2’, receives a new squeaker, celebrating with a lounge singer cover of “You Got a Friend in Me”, with the help of Mr. Mike. Since then, neither character has appeared again in the adventures of the toys that belonged to Andy.
5. sid

Sid is Andy’s neighbor who used to transform his toys into bizarre creatures until he got a lecture from Woody in the iconic scene where the cowboy says: “in toys we can see everything, so play it right!”.
In the fifth film of the franchise, Sid will already be an adult. With this, it would be interesting to know which paths the boy chose and if Woody’s speeches affected his decisions while growing up with his toys.
It is worth remembering that ‘Toy Story 3’ may have given clues about the future of the character. That’s because a garbage man appears wearing the same T-shirt emblazoned with a skull that Sid was wearing. He can be seen in the scene where Woody thinks that Andy’s mother has thrown the toys away. Remember!
