“I started losing my hair when I was 20 years old. It was pretty brutal,” says Marie*, now 41. By then, her hair, “which had always been extremely fine, like a baby’s hair,” began to thin out more and more. “The whole top of my head was thinning a lot, the fall was quite scattered. After doing tests, I was diagnosed with androgenetic alopecia (A combination of hair follicle sensitivity to male hormones and genetic predisposition, editor’s note.).
