In April of this year, Warner Bros. confirmed production of a live-action series inspired by the seven Harry Potter books, which will feature an entirely new cast. However, despite the announcement of new actors, many people were still wondering about a possible special participation of the cast of films in the new production.
During an interview with Deadline, Daniel Radcliffethe star who brought the protagonist to life in the feature films, revealed that he would not accept an invitation to participate in the series.
“I don’t think I would. Certainly, from everything I’ve read about this project, they’re starting over from scratch. It would be kind of weird, probably, for me to appear out of nowhere on the series”, stated Daniel.
Radcliffe was responsible for giving life to Harry Potter, the great protagonist of the franchise, in all eight films of the saga, between the years 2001 and 2011. The last time the actor returned to the World of Magic was during the 20th anniversary special of ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone’, promoted by HBO Max.
J.K. Rowling, the creator of the franchise, is confirmed as a producer of the series. According to the writer, “Max’s commitment to preserving the integrity of my books is important to me, and I look forward to being a part of this new adaptation that will allow for a degree of depth and detail only provided by a long-running television series.”
So far, no information has been released about the actors who will participate in the series. The release date for the production has not yet been revealed. Check out the announcement trailer!
