The first continuation of the plot starring Ginger receives the title of ‘The Chicken Run: The Menace of the Nuggets’
‘Chicken Run: Menace of the Nuggets’, a film that brings Ginger and her companions on a new adventure, has a date to debut in the Netflix catalogue: the animation will be available to subscribers on December 15th.
The news was unveiled at the Netflix panel at the Annecy Animation Festival (via Variety and Omelette), along with a previously unseen 12-minute screening of the nostalgic feature film released in the 2000s.
Production must follow Rocky and Ginger 12 years after the events seen in ‘Chicken Run’. The couple, who now live in a sanctuary for birds away from humans, have their peace of mind put to the test when a new deadly threat emerges that puts them at risk: the new factory, Happy Land Farms.
As if that wasn’t enough adrenaline, Rocky and Ginger are now parents, and their daughter, Molly, shows her adventurous side by leaving the island without warning, bringing even more chaos.
With direction of Sam Fell and script signed by Karey Kirkpatrick It is John O’Farrellthe same duo from the original film, ‘Chicken Run: The Nuggets Menace’, brings Zachary Levifrom ‘Shazam!’ as Rocky; thandiwe newton from ‘Westworld’ as Ginger; It is Bella Ramseyfrom ‘Last of Us’, as Molly, in the official voice cast.
