Although much of the third Avatar film has already been recorded, the actress reveals that there will be some reshoots
The second Avatar film was released 13 years after the release of the first feature, but this wait will not be repeated, since the third production of the franchise created and directed by James Cameron will hit theaters in 2024, much to the relief of fans.
The actress Sigourney Weaver, who in the first film played Dr. Grace Augus, while in the second gave life to Kiri, revealed to Screen Rant that much of the third film has already been recorded. She also said that both she and the crew will get together to reshoot some of the film in January.
In January, I’m supposed to be back on set for reshoots. I don’t think we’re going to do entirely new scenes. It’s more about refining what James already has now that he’s in the editing process. There’s always a lot of material, he loves filming. I have no idea what we’re going to do, but I think we’re just going to go back to some moments that Jim didn’t capture the way he wanted to, “commented the actress.
