Surpassing “The Incredibles 2”, the feature film “Super Mario Bros. The Movie” occupies the third place in the ranking of the highest grossing animation in history, accumulating $1,255,729,239, according to information collected by the website The Numbers (via Omelete).
Previously, the position was occupied by the sequence of the feature film that follows the Pixar family of superheroes formed by Roberto and Helena Pêra, Mr. its 2018 release $1,242,805,359.

“Super Mario Bros. O Filme” is produced by nintendo and Illumination to adapt the saga of the games, which in the version for the big screen, features Bowser kidnapping Mario’s brother, Luigi, and not Princess Peach, who is the leader of the Mushroom Kingdom here.
Released on April 6, 2023 in Brazil, the film features Chris Pratt like Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day like Luigi, Jack Black like Bowser, Seth Rogen like Donkey Kong and Keegan-Michael Key voicing Toad in the original voice cast.
