Marina Fois and Pio Marmai. “Share form”

Madame Figaro: What unites you?
Pio Marmay: I would say some fantasy, demand… but above all a lot of fun.
Marina Fois: We actually laugh a lot and Pio is a great play partner because he’s really into the filmmaker’s movies;

prime minister For the screening of the film in 2021 division, by Catherine Corsini in which we both play. It was moving in this fabulous room.
MF- And we can’t say we slept early…!

And what about the actors and actresses fraternity today?
prime minister There’s a significant movement going on, but I’ve always had a fairly equal relationship with my colleagues, an artist-to-artist relationship. I surrender in the same way with a man or a woman. For me, this abandonment remains the only thing that makes the film work.
MF- We are more alert to anything that overflows and more demanding of anything that looks like a predator. But, thank God, they remain isolated cases. We should not mix everything. saying no to some things doesn’t prevent any form of brotherhood or sharing, it’s even the opposite.

played by Marina Fois Ball of fools, by Arnaud des Pallieres. Released in 2023.

Anais Demostier and Vincent Lacoste. “Existing Friendship”

What unites you?
Vincent Lacoste. – Our artistic taste, humor, parties, food… A lot, actually.
Anais Demostier. – It’s funny because I feel like I could have known Vincent since I was a kid. He grew up in Paris, but something about him reminds me of my friends from college in Lille.

A common memory in Cannes.
SHIP:– We went to watch our respective films when I was presenting Bedroom 212, by Christophe Honoré and starring Anais Alice and the Mayor By Nicholas Pariser. And of course there was the stair climbing Smoking causes cough By Quentin Dupierre, last year.
STATEMENT:– This demonstration was ultratonal. The film was shown at a midnight screening and the room erupted as if it were a football game.

And what about the actors and actresses fraternity today?
SHIP:– The MeToo movement has clarified some things and questioned the power relations that may have existed on film sets and that some have taken advantage of. But that has nothing to do with the friendship between actors and actresses that exists outside of the movie set.
STATEMENT:– I have always had a very good relationship with my partners, and since MeeToo I don’t feel mistrust between men and women, on the contrary. And when I meet an actor, I don’t ask myself: who is this potential predator? (Is laughing):

Cecil de France and Vincent Macken. Patrick Swirk

Cécile de France and Vincent Macaigne. “Nice understanding”

What unites you?
Cecil of France. – On the set of Martin Provost’s film, we had the same complicity as in this shooting photo. We had a lot of fun and this arrangement was very pleasant.
Vincent McCain. – I could not compare us, because I am a much worse actor than Cecil. I was able to watch and listen to him a lot on set Bonnard, Pierre and Marthe, and he surprised me with the accuracy of his playing.

A common memory in Cannes.
CDF: – Not yet, but I can’t wait to climb the stairs with Vincent and Martin Provost. It will be a first for the director, and promises to be moving.
VM: – It’s great that his film premiered at Cannes, because it’s a beautiful environment, without competition. So we will only be happy.

When I casually cast roles for my plays, I don’t pay attention to the gender of the actors;

Vincent McCain

And what about the actors and actresses fraternity today?
CDF: – I have always felt close to my male partners and never made a distinction between women and men, directors or directors. The only disparity I see is in wages, but that is changing, so good.
VM:– It’s a bit strange, because at first I was a director, but recently I consider myself an actor. But I have never felt inferior or superior on the set, and when I happen to be casting roles for my plays, I don’t pay attention to the gender of the actors.

Hafsia Herzi and Alexis Manenti. Patrick Swirk

Hafsia Herzi and Alexis Manenti. “Some sincerity.”

What unites you?
Alexis Manenti. – We don’t know each other in real life, but on the set of the film, it seems that we both quickly feel whether it is good or not. We play with a certain sincerity and we are quite minimalistic.
Hafsia Herzi. – I really don’t think we do tons of it. Alexis is one of those actors who does not give the impression of an actor. I like that in my teammates.

A common memory in Cannes.
AT. Mr.– The presentation of Iris Kaltenbeck’s film, in which we play, will be our first common memory there. I’m happy and a little overwhelmed to unveil the film at Cannes.
H.H– I, who have always wanted to make films, the Cannes Film Festival remains my ultimate dream. I presented two films there as a director, but this year I appreciate being there as an actress. It’s less stressful.

And what about the brotherhood between actors and actresses?
H.H– My behavior towards men has not changed. Just an observation. there are now intimacy coordinators on set to oversee the intimate scenes.
A.M– With MeToo, everything has changed for the better, some men have become more aware of their behavior. Then the “big movie family” is like all families, with the occasional narcissist, weird uncle or cousin who’s been in jail….

Hafsia Herzi and Alexis Manenti star in Iris Kaltenbeck’s The Violence, which is in competition at the Cannes Film Festival’s La Semaine de la critique.

A “big movie family” is like all families, sometimes there’s a narcissist, a weird uncle or a cousin who’s been in jail…

Leah Drucker and Benjamin Lavergne. Patrick Swirk

Lea Drucker and Benjamin Laverne. “Collective Art”

What unites you?
Leah Drucker. – We don’t know each other very well, but we are quite familiar, and Benjamin is a brave actor who inspires me a lot.
Benjamin Lavergne. – I have the impression that we are part of the same tribe, Lea and I. He showed me that you can have a dual career, moving easily between theater and film.

A common memory in Cannes.
LD: – No, but he can meet there this year. I will protect there last summer By Catherine Braille. We are never bored with Cannes.
BL – Having never had a film at Cannes, it’s a lot of fun for me to go and present the films of Maywen and Frédéric Tellier this year. I don’t really stifle my pleasure.

And what about the actors and actresses fraternity today?
LD:– Since cinema is a collective art, we must work with each other, but also with mutual trust. Men and women are concerned about the MeToo movement, have gained awareness, clarity…
BL– … but also in compassion, tact. We are all very aware of the movement, therefore more alert, and in this matter I have the impression that it has brought us closer than it has divided us.

Leah Drucker plays last summer By Kathryn Brayla, featured in the official contest.
played by Benjamin Laverne Jeanne du Barryby Maïwenn, which was presented at the opening of the Cannes Film Festival, and c Abbakan stone. A life of struggleBy Frederic Tellier, submitted out of competition.
