How old are the Cullens?

Readers passionate about romance and fantasy were able to get to know the Cullen family through the Twilight saga, which featured the first book released in 2005 by Stephenie Meyer to start the plot that revolves around the love triangle lived by the vampire Edward Cullen, the human Bella Swan, and the werewolf Jacob Black.

The story, which was also adapted for cinemas between 2008 and 2012, brought in addition to Edward, the other members of the Olympic Clan formed by the Cullens, such as the patriarch Carlisle and the matriarch Esme, and their other adopted children, Alice and Emmett. Cullen, and their respective boyfriends Jasper Hale and Rosalie Hale.

Carlisle Cullen

According to the plot presented in the books, Carlisle Cullen was born in 1640 in London, becoming a vampire in 1663, at the age of 23. Thus, if the universe of the Twilight saga is situated in the year of its publication, that is, in 2005, Carlisle was 365 years old when Bella moved to her father’s house.

Esme Cullen

Becoming part of the coven in 1921 after being saved by Carlisle, Esme was 26 years old when she became a vampire. The woman had first met Carlisle in 1911, but her transformation took place years later after she tried to take her own life, making her 110 years old at the beginning of the Twilight Saga.

Edward Cullen

Edward became a vampire in 1918 when he was 17 years old. The transformation of the young man born in 1901, occurred after being attended by Carlisle, who made the decision to make the boy the first member of the coven, as Edward was about to lose his life to a strong flu. In the first book and film of the saga, Edward was 104 years old.

Alice Cullen

Transformed by a vampire who worked at the asylum she was sent to in the year 1920, Alice was 19 years old at the time she became an immortal being. Born in 1901, she was the same age as Edward.

Emmett Cullen

Found on the verge of death by Rosalie after suffering a bear attack, Emmett was turned into a vampire in 1935 at the age of 20, making him 90 at the time of the story’s release.

jasper hale

Alice’s romantic partner, Jasper has the year 1844 as his birth date, being transformed 19 years after arriving in the world by a vampire named María in 1863. He was 161 years old at the beginning of the saga.

Rosalie Hale

Carlisle and Esme’s first adopted daughter is Rosalie, a young woman born in 1915, who was turned into a vampire in 1933 at the age of 18, after being brutally attacked by her ex-fiancé and his friends. She was 90 years old at the start of the plot.
