The Prince and Princess of Wales shared the touching sequence on social media this Sunday, May 7. We see a summary of this day, which was celebrated by King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
“Thanks to everyone who contributed to this event,” the post’s caption reads. On Saturday, May 6, a few hours after the coronation of Charles III and Camilla as sovereigns of the United Kingdom, Kate Middleton and Prince William shared a behind-the-scenes video of the event on their social networks. Snapshots from this historic day for all the royals.
The sequence begins with images of the princely couple and their children on their way to Westminster Abbey, where the religious ceremony took place. Then there are a series of shots showing the king and queen’s coach arriving in front of the monastery, the crowds awaiting the new sovereigns, or even the soldiers encamped in front of the building. We also see Prince Louis’ yawn (age 5), Prince George’s smile (age 9) and Princess Charlotte’s excited look (age 7). The sequence ends with moments filmed on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, with the royal couple greeting their supporters.
