The son of King Charles III and his wife, Kate Middleton, were visiting Wales. On this occasion, they met the mountain rescue team as well as their children.
One can really make a mistake. Prince William already has the makings of a king, chaining public appearances on his wife Kate Middleton’s lap with precision and grace. While visiting Wales on Thursday April 27, when the royal couple met the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team, King Charles III’s son came face-to-face with the mistake of a young lad who thought he was standing with the monarch.
Helmets and seat belts
To celebrate 60 years of Central Beacons, some team members were indeed accompanied by their families. “You are the king,” cried the child, in response to the laughter of the congregation. “No, I’m not… I’m not. It’s my father,” replied Prince William to (kindly embarrassed) laughter from the audience.
Earlier in the day, the princely couple showed off their sporting talents by doing some exercises with a group of lifeguards. With helmets bolted to their heads and seatbelts on their laps, Prince William and Kate Middleton thus took to the hills of Wales with great ease before enjoying pizza with the Central Beacons team. Prince William and Kate Middleton also simulated the rescue operation with them.

During another visit to Wales, Kate Middleton and Prince William faced off in a spin bike competition. Despite wearing an inappropriate outfit for the exercise – a skirt and turtleneck – the Princess of Wales, who is known to be very athletic, won the race.
