As last year’s winners, Ukraine automatically entered the Grand Final, where it will be represented by TVORCHI with the song Heart of Steel.
Five Ukrainian artists will perform at the grand final of Eurovision 2023, which will be held on May 13 in Liverpool. It was reported by Suspіlne.
So, the finals of the international song contest will be opened by last year’s winners, the Kalush Orchestra group, with a performance of the Voice of the New Generation.
“We are sad that we will not be able to bring Eurovision to our country, we thank the UK for hosting this contest for us. We will perform for every Ukrainian to remind that the best times and achievements of our country is yet to come, and also, to show the world what Ukraine is fighting for,” team members said.
Jamala, Tina Karol, Verka Serdyuchka and Go_A will also take to the stage at Eurovision 2023. The artists will perform their entries in a new arrangement accompanied by classic British hits.
“In 2016, I shared my personal story with the world. Then and now the competition opens enormous opportunities for songwriters and authors. It is a territory of freedom, where everyone can deliver their message in one form or another. That’s why every appearance on the Eurovision stage is touching and a special moment in life,” said Jamala.
After all 26 Song Contest finalists have completed their performances, British entry Sam Ryder, who finished second last year, will take the show stage.
The final interval act will feature Netta, Duncan Lawrence, Mahmood, Cornelia Jacobs, Dadi Freyr and Sonia. They have all participated in Eurovision before.
It was previously reported that Alyosha, along with other stars of the Ukrainian show business, will perform in the semi-finals of Eurovision 2023.
