The new series will adapt the seven books in the Harry Potter franchise; know more!
Attention, Potterheads! During a press event, Warner Bros. officially announced the production of a live-action series inspired by the seven Harry Potter books, which will be made available on the Max streaming platform (formerly HBO Max).
As revealed during the event, the creator of the franchise, J.K. Rowling, is confirmed as producer of the series, which will feature a new cast. As reported by the Deadline portal, the head of Warner Bros Discovery, David Zaslavwas responsible for personally meeting the author to bring the world of magic back to the small screen.
“We are delighted to give audiences the opportunity to discover Hogwarts in a whole new way. Harry Potter is a cultural phenomenon and it’s clear that there is an enduring love and thirst for the Wizarding World. In partnership with Warner Bros. Television and JK Rowling, this new Max Original series will dive deep into each of the iconic books that fans have continued to enjoy for all these years,” said Casey Bloys, president and CEO of HBO & Max Content.
