Buckingham Palace confirmed on Tuesday that the duties have been entrusted to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s eldest son at his grandfather’s coronation on May 6 in London.
On May 6, all eyes will be on London for the historic coronation of Charles III at Westminster Abbey in front of over 2,000 hand-picked guests and millions of viewers. As you might expect, Prince George will play a very special role. He will thus become the youngest future king of England to play a leading role in the coronation.

Buckingham Palace (finally) revealed it on Tuesday, April 4. At the age of nine, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s eldest son will be one of the King’s four pages of honour. His mission is to escort the Pope through the nave of Westminster Abbey. Indeed, Charles and his wife Camilla will wear heavy coats with long tails to wear.

Fortunately, Prince George will be able to rely on the help of three other pages who are well known to the crown and whose names have been revealed by Buckingham. They are Lord Oliver Cholmondeley, 13, son of former Lord Grand Chamberlain David Cholmondeley, 7th Marquess of Cholmondeley and Rose Hanbury; Nicholas Barclay, 13, grandson of Sarah Troughton, Lord Lieutenant of Wiltshire, who served in waiting to the Duchess of Kent from 1990 to 2000; and Ralph Tollemasch, 12, son of Charles’ godson Edward Tollemasch.
For her part, Camilla will also be entitled to four pages of honor: her grandsons Gus and Louis Lopez, daughter Laura Lopez’s 13-year-old twins; his grandson Freddie Parker Bowles, age 12, son of Tom Parker Bowles; and his grandson, Arthur Elliott, age 11.

Camila will become a “queen”.
The announcement comes as we learned a few weeks ago that Camilla will be known as “The Queen” rather than “Queen Consort” following her and King Charles III’s coronation on May 6. Usually, tradition dictates that the title of “queen consort” be given to the king’s wife. Meanwhile, “queen” is reserved for women who have inherited monarch status through their lineage, like Elizabeth II, who was crowned after the death of her father, King George VI.
However, if the titles of Queen and Queen Consort are indeed different, then for the sake of simplicity, the wife of King Charles III should be called “Queen Camilla” during the King’s reign. Just as Elizabeth II’s mother, wife of George VI, was in her day.
