According to a theory created by a fan of ‘Encanto’, Alma would have presented the powers of her children before they were born. Understand!
In the film “Encanto”, released in 2021 by Disney, we meet the Madrigals, a family of Colombians who, after being blessed with a miracle, all members are born with special abilities, where the first to gain powers were Alma’s triplets : Juliet, Pepa and Bruno.
Julieta has the gift of healing, where she can help everyone through food. Pepa, on the other hand, controls the weather with her emotions, however, the weather forecast ends up being very unpredictable since the woman tends to change her emotions very constantly. On the other hand, Bruno ended up acquiring the ability to see the future, being the main reason for his estrangement from the family.
As echoed by the ScreenRant portal, a theory created by a fan and shared on the Reddit platform claims that Alma would have predicted the gifts of her children during a flashback that presents some of the events of her life.
The theory
According to the hypothesis presented by the fan, everything happens in the flashback in which he explains how Alma fell in love with Pedro, and presents a little more of the couple’s history. The first prediction would be presented when the two appear eating Arepas, a reference to Juliet’s gift of healing with food.
Soon after, the lovers are illuminated by a beautiful golden light coming directly from the Sun, something that can be linked to Pepa and her power to change time according to emotions. Finally, the reference to Bruno’s ability can be seen when Alma shows Pedro cut pieces of paper that reveal her pregnancy with triplets.
In addition, the scenes are presented in the same birth order as the couple’s children. Through Twitter, the director Jared Bush confirmed the order stating that “The eldest is Juliet, healing helps everyone and she is the most responsible, Pepa is ‘the middle child’ — more emotional because Juliet was the ‘adult’, Bruno is the baby… making his departure all the more tragic.”
