Producer and screenwriter of ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’, Peter Murrieta, told the reasons why the relationship was not addressed
In ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’, Alex (Selena Gomez) and Stevie (Hayley Kiyoko), could have lived a romance. The information was released by the showrunner of the series, Peter Murrietawho confirmed in an interview with Wizards of Waverly Pod, a podcast dedicated to Disney Chanel’s teen production, that the little witch is bisexual, as reported by the website Omelete.
I would have liked to play more with what was quite obvious to many of us”, said Murietta referring to the relationship between the characters. “We didn’t make it at that time, but it was pretty clear to all of us what that relationship was.”
