In addition to releasing the trailer for ‘Elementos’, Pixar announced a new short film with Carl and Dug, from ‘Up – Altas Aventuras’
This Tuesday, the 28th, Disney and Pixar released posters and the trailer for their newest film “Elements”. The new production will arrive in theaters in June and will not be the only news on the big screen, it will be accompanied by a new short film!
Pixar decided to return to the tradition of always presenting an animated short before the feature film begins. The last film from the studio that was accompanied by a short film was “The Incredibles 2”, and the mini story that appeared before the Pêra Family plot is the cartoon entitled “Bao”, which won the Oscar for Best Animated Short Film in 2019. Watch!
The short that will accompany “Elementos” will show some old acquaintances of the public: Mr. Carl Fredricksen and Dug, his talking dog, from “Up- Altas Aventuras”. In the plot, Carl is reluctant to accept going on a date with a friend, while Dug tries to help his colleague with some tips that worked with his acquaintances. The problem is that Dug’s friends are also dogs.
The animation, titled “Carl’s Date” (in free translation, Carl’s Meeting), does not yet have a name in Portuguese. Bob Peterson signed the script and is directing the short, while kim collins is responsible for production. Check out the official story poster:
