Jimmy Kimmel said that Donald Trump’s lawyers warned him that if he is indicted in New York, he will likely lose in court.
“Which means he’s going to spend the next three years claiming he won the case,” Kimmel noted.
Trump said he would be arrested on Tuesday, which he did not. There is unlikely to be any movement this week in the Manhattan District Attorney’s investigation into the Stormy Daniels money laundering case.
But Kimmel said there’s a sure sign the former president is getting more nervous as possible charges loom.
“Trump is totally in the pants right now,” he said, referring to Trump’s angry posts on his Truth Social social media site.
Trump was particularly aggressive toward Alvin Bragg, the United States attorney in Manhattan.
“I have to say, I love the idea that a guy named Bragg can send him to jail,” Kimmel said. “It’s like what he likes to do the most can send him down the river.”
