What was the original idea for ‘Tangled’ that was scrapped?

After making cinema history with ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’, in the 1930s, a film where Rapunzel was the main character was even considered by the studio, however, at the time, the great filmmaker walt disney ended up putting the idea aside, and by the end of the 1990s it had not yet been resumed, starting to be produced only in the early 2000s. Since then, the film has been made with enormous enthusiasm, being released in 2010, with the modification of characters and even the plot.

Before being titled ‘Tangled’, the project was treated as ‘Rapunzel Unbraided’ and it would have an inclination to make satire of some stories of fairytale princesses, and so it happened, having a story involving two teenagers, who , during the plot, switch bodies with Rapunzel and her prince, and over time, the two were transformed into a hunting dog squirrel, respectively.

The idea would have turned into something totally different from what Disney had produced throughout its past, and so, in the 1990s, which had presented the public with several princesses, such as Beauty and Jasmine, there was the first princess movie which became a satire.

Disney’s new form of satire followed the same model as ‘Shrek’, which also produced the same satire works, but the difference was that the disney mocked herself.

As well as other projects of the walt disneymany of the brand’s films start in a planned way that in the end follows another style, and in ‘Tangled’ the same thing happened, having a different ending than previously planned.

In addition, the 2010 Disney animation, as well as many other films from the production company, has numerous curiosities and meaningless facts in its composition.
