Even humans with superpowers need to follow some logic, so check out some questionable moments from ‘The Incredibles’
Formed by Mr IncredibleMulher Elástica, and their three children, Violeta, Flecha and Zezé, the Pêra family stars in Pixar’s first animation focused on superheroes, ‘Os Incredíveis’, a film released in 2004 that follows the quintet some time after the government banned the use of superpowers, causing them to live an ordinary life, until an ancient threat resurfaces.
Although the film was released almost two decades ago, and its story was expanded in a sequel released in 2018, there are some facts that do not make sense in the feature film, and you can check them out in the list below!
1. The Pêra family didn’t discover Zezé’s powers
Despite being just a baby, Jack-Jack is mega-powerful, so much so that he uses his various abilities to defeat Syndrome at the end of the first film.
However, his family does not even suspect that the youngest among the children has super powers, which makes no sense, since Zezé gave several signs that he had superhuman abilities.
That’s because, her nanny, Kari, warned Elastigirl of her powers, as well as the house, which was always destroyed. Also, Ricardo Dicker knew about the little boy’s powers, why didn’t he just warn the rest of the family?
2. The Survival of Mister Incredible
While Mister Incredible is on the island, his life is endangered several times, most notably when he fights a robot and ends up in an active volcano. The harrowing scene should have given the hero severe burns, as as he tries to get out, the lava wall begins to close in on him.
As if that were not enough, then a black goo begins to envelop him, which would have killed him without air in a matter of seconds.
3. The disappearance of villains
After confusion and tragedies were caused while superheroes tried to save humanity, they were forced by the government to live as ordinary people, where they could no longer use their superhuman abilities around.
Still, the rule was applied only to heroes, there’s no indication that villains had to comply with the same legislation, so why did villains keep quiet for so long?
4. Frosty’s costume has been put away
When Frosty decides to fight a giant robot that is destroying the city, he tries to access his super suit with the touch of a remote control, but he can’t. That’s because his wife kept the costume elsewhere in the house, and not in the support planned to store it, even though there was no reason for this change, since the hero hadn’t worn the blue outfit for a long time.
5. The power of protagonism
When Sindrome shoots some missiles at the Elastic Woman’s jet, she jumps from the ship and tries to protect her children from the explosion, even though there is a lot of fire in the sky, nothing reaches the family, besides what, miraculously, Violeta’s mother, Arrow and Zezé find her purse amidst the wreckage, was it just luck?
