In a Disney+ special, Miley Cyrus explained why she dubbed the new album ‘Cinderella’s slipper’
After the resounding success of ‘Flowers’, Miley Cyrus graced fans with the album ‘Endless Summer Vacation’ this Friday, 10. With different rhythms and intense lyrics, the album is already one of the biggest hits of the year. In just 14 minutes, the album reached the top of iTunes in the United States.
The debut of the album was accompanied by a warm special on Disney+. Cyrus chose some of the 13 songs on the album, as well as singing the classic hit of her career, ‘The Climb’. Among the presentations, the special aired interviews of Miley, which told many stories that inspired their new album.
Right at the beginning, our eternal Hannah Montana spoke not only about the process of creating the album, but also about the identity that exists behind ‘Endless Summer Vacation’. For Miley, the album is a mix of all the ‘sounds’ she has tried in the past.
Identity
“When it comes to experimenting with not just my sound, but also my identity and the way I want to be seen, whether it’s visually with my hair, with my appearance, with the visuals that go with the music, this album feels like something of a mixed bag. of all the sounds I tried,” explains Miley.
Thus, she explains that the album fits her perfectly and could only be hers, just like Princess Cinderella’s glass slipper, which only fits her feet. When leaving the prince’s ball in a hurry, the character ends up losing her shoe on the palace steps. However, everything changes when the nobleman goes in search of his beloved by asking countless women in the kingdom to try on the crystal slipper, which only fits Cinderella perfectly.
“I called this album Cinderella’s shoe because it fits so perfectly and feels like it’s mine alone and could only be mine,” Miley said proudly.
