The actor gives life to the scarlet speedster in ‘The Flash’, a series that will come to an end in the ninth season
Filming for the ninth and final season of ‘The Flash’, a DC series on the CW, has come to an end. Therefore, Grant Gustinthe interpreter of the scarlet hero in the production, took advantage of the fact that his filming in the character’s costume was completed last Saturday, the 4th, to say goodbye to the team and Bary Allen, through a text published on Instagram.
In the text, Gustin thanks the team that contributed to the development of the 184 episodes of ‘The Flash’, remembering the pleasant atmosphere between recordings and the fun moments they shared during almost a decade, which he says will be the ones he misses the most.
More than anything, I will miss talking and laughing between takes (and sometimes during takes) with so many of them. [equipe]. Regardless of how challenging that journey was at times, I know I’ve laughed every day at work for the past 9 years.”
In addition, the actor thanked the fanbase of the series, leaving the door open for him to see them again soon. “Thank you to the fans who have remained passionate about our show for 9 seasons. The show has gone through a lot of changes, but a lot of people have stuck with us through it all. I hope to continue to meet some of you around the world in passing and maybe even at conventions in the future,” he wrote.
It is worth remembering that the post was accompanied by behind-the-scenes photos that show that the actor’s family was present during the recording of the last episode of the series, to which he concluded his farewell by saying: “Honored to have had the chance to play this iconic character. I gave absolutely everything I had. This is all for now”. Look!

I said goodbye to the Flash and my Flash family on Saturday. A very special day, with moments that I will take with me for the rest of my life. My family got to see my last scene as The Flash – this is something I could never have imagined almost 10 years ago when I started this journey. This first photo here is moments before my final setup (which was Flash running). I had the chance to thank the crew, who worked longer hours than anyone can imagine and are the reason we were able to make 184 episodes of The Flash. More than anything, I will miss talking and laughing between takes (and sometimes during takes) with so many of them. Regardless of how challenging that journey was at times, I know I’ve laughed every day at work for the last 9 years. I made a lot of mistakes and I grew a lot on this journey. Eternally grateful to @ziking11 (#DavidNutter) #GeoffJohns #PeterRoth & @gberlanti for the opportunity of a lifetime – one I tried never to take for granted. An opportunity I honestly didn’t feel like I deserved at times. Thanks for believing in me. Thanks to the cast, old and new. Series regulars on the series and guest stars who have come and gone. Our guest stars are the unsung heroes of this show who have really made it special over the years. I made a lot of friends and I’m sure many of us will be in each other’s lives forever. THANK YOU to the fans who have remained passionate about our show for 9 seasons. The show has gone through a lot of changes, but a lot of people have stuck with us through it all. I hope to continue to see some of you around the world in passing and perhaps even at conventions in the future. Thanks to @chipeyt (#ToddHelbing) for taking the reins and guiding us and to #EricWallace for getting us to the finish line. Honored to have had the chance to play this iconic character. I gave absolutely everything I had. This is all for now.
With the first episode airing on October 7, 2014, ‘The Flash’ will come to an end in 2024 with the release of the ninth and final season on February 8.
