Sarah Ferguson opened up about her relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in several interviews this week as the Duchess of York made the press rounds for her latest book, A Most Intriguing Lady.
“I’ve been judged all my life and I have no judgment for the Sussexes,” Fergie told People magazine in an article published on Wednesday. “I don’t think anyone has the right to judge another person. I can’t make any judgement.”
In another interview with the British Telegraph, the Duchess of York was asked what she thought of Meghan in particular, which Fergie was coy about.
“I don’t really know Meghan. I didn’t really know her,” she said. “I spoke to her at the funeral and thought she was absolutely beautiful. I think she’s beautiful.”
The two have obviously dated at some point, as Meghan revealed that it was actually Fergie who taught her how to bow before the former Suits actor first met Regina.

Fergie also refused to engage with The Telegraph when the press asked if it was only the Duchess of Sussex who had “hurt the royal family”.
“It’s not for me to answer,” the Duchess of York told the press. “It has made Harry very happy and it is so beautiful. Honestly, he is so happy with her. He really likes it. And I think it’s beautiful and Diana would be proud of him and her lovely grandchildren.”
Harry, who is particularly close to Fergie and Prince Andrew’s daughter Princess Eugenie, recently became the first member of the British royal family to speak publicly about the disgraced Duke of York.
The Duke of Sussex spoke to Andrew in a passage from his memoir, Spare, when he tried to reassure Meghan that the royal family would not withdraw their security, especially “not after” “Uncle Andrew” (although until it will happen).
“He was involved in a shameful scandal, accused of sexually assaulting a young woman, and no one suggested that he was losing confidence,” the duke wrote. “Whatever complaints people had against us, sex crimes were not on the list.”
Andrew recently settled out of court with Virginia Giuffre, who accused the royal of sexually assaulting and abusing her when she was a minor in 2001.
He has repeatedly denied the allegations. Fergie reiterated her continued support for Andrew to The Telegraph, calling her ex-husband “a very nice man” and adding that it was “very sad to see what Andrew went through”.
