Last weekend, BTS member J-Hope began the military enlistment process.
Last Sunday, the 26th, BigHit Music surprised fans of BTS by announcing that j-hope is starting the process for his military enlistment, which should happen soon. In a note, the company said:
“We would like to inform our fans that J-Hope has started the military enlistment process by requesting to cancel the postponement of his enlistment. We will inform you about new updates in a timely manner. We ask you for your continued love and support for J-Hope until he completes his military service and returns safely. Our company will spare no effort to provide support for our artist.”
Moments after the release of the note, j-hope made a point of holding a live broadcast through the WeVerse platform to talk a little more about his decision, in addition to reassuring ARMYs, stating that going early means that he will be able to return as soon as possible.
“I think I’ve been thinking about it [no alistamento] since last year. After Jin hyung walked in, I wondered when I should do that too. Thinking about it, I decided that the sooner I join, the sooner I can come back and show you something good.”
During the live, j-hope also commented that he received a call from Jin as soon as the news broke. In this ocasion, hoseok said, “I got a call [de Jin] as soon as the ad came out. ‘jwehope! I heard about the ad’. I asked him many questions. And hyung advised me on what I needed.”
please note that Jin was the first member of BTS to enlist in the South Korean military, starting his service on December 13 last year. Now, before your enlistment, j-hope will release the single “on the street”, scheduled to take place on March 3rd. As of yet, the date on which he will start his mandatory military service has yet to be revealed.
