King Charles III condemns the “unnecessary suffering” inflicted on the Ukrainian people a year after the Russian invasion.

To mark the sad anniversary of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine that began on February 24, 2022, the monarch shared a powerful message and once again showed his unwavering support for the Ukrainian people.

It has been a year since the conflict between Ukraine and Russia began. This Friday, February 24, the sad first anniversary of the Russian attack, King Charles III had a thought for the people of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. In the text published on social networks and on his official website, the sovereign is not afraid to take sides. “It’s been a year since the Ukrainian people suffered unimaginably from a large-scale unprovoked attack against their nation. He showed remarkable courage and resilience in the face of such a human tragedy.”

The father of Princes William and Harry also condemned the “unnecessary suffering caused to Ukrainians”. And continue. “That’s why I can only hope that the outpouring of solidarity from around the world will not only bring practical help, but also the strength to know that together we are united.”
