The new Avengers movies are expected to hit theaters in 2025 and wrap up Phase 6 of the MCU
The studio’s latest film provided a small glimpse of what the big screen’s most famous team of heroes, the Avengers, will face in the final clashes of phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in ‘Kang Dynasty’ and ‘Secret Wars’, by presenting the various variants of Kang the Conqueror in the post-credits scenes of ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’.
The films that were confirmed at Marvel’s announcement panel at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con correspond to important arcs seen in the comics that receive the same names, but taking into account the current moment of the MCU, the stories adapted to the audiovisual will correspond to a faithful depiction of the comics?

kang dynasty
The feature, which should be released on May 2, 2025, is derived from ‘Kang Dynasty’, a narrative published in 16 parts in the Avengers comics between 2001 and 2002.
On the pages: We follow the rise of Kang the Conqueror, who with the help of his son, the Centurion and a host of other villains, aims to dominate the earth – succeeding for a while, until he is defeated by the most famous team of heroes in the MCU .
On screens: Kang the Conqueror had a variant of him featured in the series finale ‘Loki’, where he appeared to be played byJonathan Majorshowever, the character is likely to be fleshed out in ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’.
If so, in the future their variants could be reunited and cause a multiversal war motivated by their quest for territorial control, which could lead to the character in the MCU having the same fate as the Comics: causing the Avengers to gather by invading Earth.
secret wars
The film is due to hit theaters on November 8, 2025. The ‘Secret Wars’ comics had their first version published between 1984 and 1985, while the last – and most popular – was released in 2015.
On the pages: The HQ released in the 90s accompanied the Beyonder kidnapping Earth’s heroes and villains so that they could face each other in Battleworld. The most recent one, has as its main event an incursion generated by the mix of the main Marvel universe (Earth-616) and the Ultimate (Earth-1610). The event causes the destruction of the Multiverse, but it is soon rebuilt by Doctor Doom, who begins to act as a God in the new reality, until he is finally defeated by the group of heroes.
On screens: The film should end the Multiverse Saga, so if the actions are repeated, they could cause a kind of reset in the MCU, allowing the multiverse to be restructured and new characters to emerge, such as the promised and already long-awaited ones: X-Men.
Another possibility
Even so, before the two films, the new ‘Fantastic Four’ film will be released on November 8, 2024, which could allow the adaptation of the events of the comics to be carried out differently, since the film would be able to carry out the introduction from Dr. Victor von Doom, better known as Doctor Doom.
With his early arrival, it would be possible for Kang to be defeated in ‘Kang Dynasty’ not by the Avengers, but by Doctor Doom himself, who could use the technology used by Centurion’s father in battles to conquer the lands of the multiverse and so, rewrites him, getting a sequel similar to the comics that would lead him to be the final villain of ‘Secret Wars’.
